FAQs

1) Who is OSAI Lip Wrap Serum for?

- Created for those with dry, chapped, or sensitive lips who prefer gentle, hydrating, clean-beauty care they can trust every day.

2) Does it have color or scent? Can I use it with lipstick?

- It’s clear (non-tinted) with a soft vanilla caramel flavor and no added perfume/fragrance. Comfortable on its own or layered under/over lipstick without changing the lip color.

3) Is OSAI cruelty-free?

- Yes. OSAI is cruelty-free lip care—we do not test on animals, and we partner with suppliers who share our clean-beauty standards, so you can feel good about what you use.

4) Why do you have only one product right now?

- We’re an indie, quality-first brand, starting with one gentle, hydrating formula made with care for sensitive and dry skin. Your support helps us thoughtfully create the next products.

5) How long does SPF protection last?

-        - SPF in lip balms usually protects for about 2 hours. After that, the effectiveness fades—especially if you’re eating, drinking, or wiping your lips. For the best protection, reapply every 2 hours when outdoors.

6) Is higher SPF always better?

-       -  Not necessarily. A higher SPF blocks more UV rays, but it doesn’t last longer, you still need to reapply every 2 hours. Higher SPF formulas often use more filters, which can sometimes feel heavy or irritate sensitive lips. For everyday lip care, SPF 15–30 is usually gentle, safe, and effective.

7) Is it safe during pregnancy?

-        -  Our lip balm is made with gentle oils and butters—like coconut, jojoba, and shea butter without parabens, phthalates, or petrolatum. These ingredients are generally considered safe in pregnancy and kind to sensitive lips.

The SPF protection in this formula comes from Octinoxate and Octocrylene (chemical UV filters). Both are widely approved for use in cosmetics, including lip products, by the FDA and EU. Some dermatologists suggest mineral sunscreens (like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) as the gentlest option during pregnancy, but the filters in our balm are recognized as safe at the levels used.
